Content Manager (Term Defined)

A content manager decides what material goes onto a website. The content manager is in charge of the writing, pictures and any other content accessed on the website. A content manager would be the person that would make the decision to integrate RediNews RSS feeds, for example, into the pages of the web site. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and is a form of an XML feed. RediNews provides these feeds for free, but some other types of content are only available to a content manager on a licensed basis. Ticker Technologies is the content provider for the stock quotes and charts found on RediNews, and provides these tools via a javascript content delivery system. They also offer iframe content delivery. These options make integration of the licensed content a simple turn-key copy and paste of a line of HTML code, and then a bill for the licensed content appears in the mail each month. Go to or call 1-866-515-2082 for more information about licensing content.
