SEC Filings

Public companies make filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC Filings). These filings contain things like quarterly financial statements (10-Q's), annual financial statements (10-K's), and filings detailing insider trading (form 4 filings). The form 4 filings tend to get a lot of focus in the stock market, for instance Dividend Channel publishes its list of 10 Dividend Bargains You Can Buy Cheaper Than Insiders Did, highlighting dividend stocks that have seen insider buying, where the stock price then fell to where new investors can achieve a cheaper cost basis than the insiders.
