Artesian Resources is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. provides water, wastewater and other services on the Delmarva Peninsula. Co. distributes and sells water, including water for public and private fire protection, to residential, commercial, industrial, municipal and utility customers in the states of Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Co. also provides wastewater services to customers in Delaware. In addition, Co. provides contract water and wastewater operations, and water, sewer and internal Service Line Protection Plans. As of Dec 31 2016, Co. had approximately 82,700 metered water customers in Delaware and a total of 2,300 metered water customers in Maryland.
